Whether you are building a new home or just putting on an addition, every new build starts with a foundation. This is the beginning of your structure and the base that everything will be built from. Foundations come in different styles, depending on your area, your topography, and the type of build. Typical labor costs for building a new foundation can also vary depending on the material, but most range between $2 and $3 a square foot.
